This is a role for a FP&A Manager who’d relish an opportunity to work with a listed company, headquartered in Auckland and in the software/technology sector. You’re someone who is keen to work in a global and complex environment where you can be technically challenged and where you’ll feel confident in providing financial and analysis reporting, budgeting and forecasting, across a number of countries globally, for the executive leadership team and the board.
You will lead a small team in management accounting and will support the CFO and Group Financial Controller.
This is a key position where you’ll lead efficient and effective provision to the organisation of required management information. You’ll be responsible for managing the preparation of various management reports, completing the monthly revenue recognition process, developing templates for regional reports, and assisting with maintaining the workbooks used for budgets, forecasting and management reporting.
You’ll work closely with all relevant Orion departments, including commercial finance management and R&D leaders, to help make financial decisions and you’ll provide analysis and commentary to management reports and assist non-financial managers to evaluate and integrate the information they receive.
In return, this role offers huge visibility and a real chance to make an impact in a company that’s on a journey! There’s plenty of growth opportunities for someone who’s keen to make their mark and develop.
As part of our Finance Team, you will need to be proactive about carrying out your roles and responsibilities but will be comfortable in a role with a degree of needing to be reactive to specific requests and reporting deadlines.
You deal with situations by considering commercial implications, standards, legislation and relevant solutions from experience. You’ll also have excellent understanding of generally accepted accounting practices, including IFRS, particularly around revenue recognition.
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a strong leader with a can-do attitude and with a problem-solving mind-set. You'll be CA qualified and having had experience in a medium-large CA firm would be an advantage. Your strong financial knowledge in a multidivisional international corporate will stand you in good stead and ideally you’ll have worked in a project/service based environment.
