About the Role:


This is a role for an experienced Payroll Manager who’d relish an opportunity to work in a truly global role where you can lead a team and have full ownership of payroll delivery. You’re keen for a role that provides plenty of challenge and complexity and where you can deliver value and continual process improvement to our systems and internal/external partnerships.


As a Global Payroll Manager, you’ll oversee payroll for 13 countries globally and will manage the global payroll team of four with most based remotely and onsite to ensure payroll is processed in accordance with company policy and relevant legislation to ensure all staff are paid accurately and in a timely manner.


We’ve recently implemented a new payroll provider so you’ll manage the day to day vendor relationship with our outsourced payroll provider and ensure they agree to service levels. You’ll be responsible for the approvals and reviewing of information prior to being handled by our vendor and you’ll be the point of contact for all payroll related issues. You’d also be responsible for reporting and for partnering with regional teams, finance, and internal stakeholders.



About You:


You’ll have a strong track record in people management, especially with remote reports and will lead in a collaborative manner. You’ll be capable of the doing but also are strategically minded and are able to drive projects and see the big picture.


You’ll also have the following:

  • Experience in working with or for an outsourced payroll function is a must
  • Experience in working with complex payroll operations
  • Extensive experience processing payrolls for multiple countries
  • Experience outside of Australia/New Zealand is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience of managing busy teams (preferably globally dispersed and within a shared services environment) and of reviewing and implementing payroll process changes
  • Membership of a professional Payroll association and degree qualification preferred but not essential
