About the role:


The Regional Sales Director increases Orion Health’s revenues and market share by selling Orion Health big data and population health solutions into Provider, Payer, Public, and Life Sciences organizations in the Mid Atlantic and Southeastern US.  He/she fosters client satisfaction by building trusted relationships with existing Orion Health clients in the region. 

 

Location of job: Remote – any state in the Mid Atlantic or Southeast (from DC down to FL)

 

About You:


Sales Planning & Execution

  • Territory planning, including identification and targeting of the Ideal Customer Profile in each target market segment
  • Pipeline creation through proactive prospecting
  • Strategic sales planning, including management of internal resources needed during each step of the sales cycle
  • Development and closure of sales into new business and existing accounts in order to meet or exceed assigned quota 
  • Negotiating terms of sale and services with customer
  • Follow Orion Health standard sales process and Miller Heiman Strategic Selling methodology

 

Forecasting

  • Use sales tools provided to produce timely and accurate forecasts as a basis for pre and post sales planning

 

Essential:       

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required. Master’s Degree preferred

 

Core skills:

  • Detailed knowledge of healthcare economics, industry trends, regulations, and standards (e.g. MACRA/MIPS; HEDIS; interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, 837)
  • Detailed understanding of hospital and provider workflow, clinically integrated network structure, and the business, technical and clinical challenges they face
  • Understanding of the payer market and payer business drivers
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical market and business drivers
  • Comfortable interacting at high levels in the healthcare market (CEO, COO, CIO, CFO level)
  • Excellent presentation skills; verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical expertise and ability to translate technical concepts into business terms and value propositions
  • Strong planning and organization skills with ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and sales events simultaneously
  • Ability to think strategically, yet pay close attention to details
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Initiative and adaptability
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team
  •  Minimum of 7 years experience of verifiable enterprise sales success in the  Healthcare IT industry (provider, payer and/or pharma organizations)
  • Experience with meeting large quotas ($4,000,000+ per year)
  •  Big ticket healthcare sales experience ($1,500,000+ average deal)
  •  Minimum 50% travel is required
