We have an opening for a talented Senior Legal Counsel, with corporate and commercial legal experience, to join our global legal team and drive effective risk management. In this role, you will enjoy a high level of autonomy and be responsible for the provision of astute, commercially aware legal advice to business operations in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. You will be required to effectively manage legal risk within acceptable levels whilst facilitating the businesses strategic and operational objectives.
As a Senior member of the legal function and business, you will be required to take a proactive role in the business and seek to understand key strategic drivers of the company to enable the provision of appropriately tailored advice and maximise the value delivered by the legal function to the business. You'll be responsible for creating a value add, in-house support service that combines professional knowledge, expertise and experience with sound commercial/business acumen and an ability to realistically assess and communicate risk.
Ideally, you’ll have a law degree with a minimum of 5+ years' PQE of relevant commercial legal experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload and produce high quality advices and output in a fast-paced environment.
Strong commercial drafting and negotiating skills are a core capability as is the ability to handle a varied commercial legal workload. Experience in healthcare technology and software and services agreements, technology and licensing agreements is an advantage. You will also be required to support meeting company secretarial compliance requirements for Orion Health entities in EMEA.
