We are an energetic, vibrant, and adventurous New Zealand company with a global reach; we have staff, offices, and customers all over the world. Our award winning solutions are utilized by leading health organizations. Using the latest technologies to develop health software, we make a positive difference in people's lives.
The result of your work will be used in over 25 countries, making a difference to thousands of lives, available on all possible devices with millions of people relying on it daily!
Orion Health is rapidly expanding, so it is essential that our teams grow with it to fully enable Orion Health's vision of Precision Medicine: that every individual receives the right care for themselves. We are turning the world's healthcare data into information, information into insight, and insight into action using Big Data, Analytics and Machine Learning.
To achieve our goals we've introduced a bunch of interesting technologies such as Cassandra, Elasticearch, Mesos, Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper, Kubernetes, etc. But deploying, configuring and automating those technologies, on Cloud and non-cloud environments, across 25 countries with different legal requirements and regulatory restrictions for health data is not an easy feat!
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be part of a Global Team responsible for those technologies, from development to production and beyond. Providing great SLAs to our customers while abiding the laws and regulations of different countries, providing self-healing automated support to be able to reach a global scale, and monitoring everything to improve our products and services.
Your key areas will be designing, prototyping, implementing and supporting those technologies provided as Software as a Service to the rest of the organization and our customers. You’ll also develop and support via an iterative approach our AI self-healing framework, continuously improving to achieve better SLAs, faster MTTR, and better Security across our services using a NoOps philosophy.
Your work will be mainly on the Public Cloud, but also you will have to deal with Private Clouds and for some specific projects our customers may require us to provide Managed Services in their own infrastructure.
You'll have 2+ years experience working as a Developer, supported by a solid understanding of software architecture and software design. You'll demonstrate the ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and modify complex software products, supported by your thorough knowledge of SCRUM and Agile SDLC methodologies.
You must also have to be familiar and comfortable with Open Source Software and *nix environments, with fluent skills on POSIX standards and Linux scripting. Experience in Linux SysAdmin/SysOps and Cloud environments (AWS) is important.
You will stand out from the crowd if you have experience using technologies like Apache Spark, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Java, Scala, Python, and R.
If this sounds like you, don't delay, apply now!
